This Project involves the development of new therapeutic vaccines using a selection of peptides and adjuvants based in nanomaterials. The use of these materials may allow the specific regulation of the immune system in autoimmune pathologies affecting young people, such as the multiple sclerosis.

For the design of the mentioned vaccines, we work on the selection of new TCR peptide sequences from the autoreavtive T cells and its conjugation with nanostructures. These newly designed nanovaccines are to be tested in vitro to select the most promising prototypes. After this selection the prototypes will be studied in vivo on an animal model of the disease, the Experimental Autoimmune Encephalomyelitis (EAE).
