Total funding: 218 750 euros

The general aim of RODAVAC is to develop a innovative strategy to identify new biomarkers to predict Tenacibaculum maritimum protection in turbot, which include deciphering the dynamics, strength and clonal composition of turbot B cell responses elicited by different vaccination protocols.

The obtained results will be the basis for developing environmentally friendly alternatives for aquaculture disease treatments improving the future competitiveness of this strategic sector. RODAVAC project will increase our basic knowledge regarding factors involved in the adaptive immune response in fish, specifically in turbot, and against T. maritimum and A. salmonicida, the aetiological agent tenacibaculosis and typical furunculosis, respectively.
