The Immunology Group participated in this project as an advisor for the development of a program for mussel monitoring using monoclonal antibodies.
The antibodies used in this project, named M22.8 and M36.5, were developed by Dr. Silvia Lorenzo as part of her PhD thesis project under the supervision of Dr. África González. This antibodies recognize Mytilus galloprovincialis and M. edulis larvae and were proposed to be used in this project to study their capacity to recognize M. chilensis. The final objective of the project is the use of these monoclonal antibodies for mussel monitoring in Chile.
